Belles & Chimes Oakland is a women and nonbinary pinball league based in the Bay Area, now celebrating it’s 13th year!
We are part of the international Belles & Chimes network of women and nonbinary player pinball leagues, founded right here in Oakland in 2013.
We are always excited for new members, and welcome players of all skill and experience levels. You can join at any point during the season – all you have to do is show up for a meeting!
ABOUT BELLES & CHIMES
MISSION
The mission of Belles & Chimes is to provide a fun, social environment for women and nonbinary players to play pinball together.
ELIGIBILITY
Belles & Chimes is exclusively open to women and nonbinary people, those who identify as male are not welcome in this space. There are no requirements relating to pinball skill or playing experience. We welcome women and nonbinary people of all levels, including total beginners!
COST
Belles & Chimes Oakland is free to play for one or two meets during the season if you’d like to just try out the league. If you come to more than two meetings, we charge $20-$40 sliding scale in league dues which covers the entire season! Players are also be responsible for the cost of games played. We will have 8 league meets; attendance to 5 meets in order to qualify for finals. Prizes will be awarded to the top players.
GUESTS
New players trying out the league or visitors from out of town are welcome to come play at any meeting, just show up!

HOW IT WORKS
During seasons, we get together once a week, hang out, and play a bunch of pinball! We do keep score, but the emphasis is on being social rather than competitive. We play 4 games each league night in groups of 3 or 4 people, switching up the groups for each game so that everyone can mingle and play different machines.
